However, for playstyles focused on normal shelling and charged shelling, Frostcraft's boost is appreciated. Gunlance doesn't usually play well with sheathing often since Wind Mantle and Ground Splitter lose their effects. Title Update 4 brings another way to boost shelling damage with Frostcraft. This skill can be swapped for Guard or Guard Up depending on your preference. Hellfire Cloak allows for Coalescence to trigger more often and lets you drop hellfire to topple monsters when using Silkbind Attacks. Frenzied Bloodlust allows you to hold up to four Wirebugs at a time, making it useful for spamming Bullet Barrage when there's a big opening or repeatedly using Hail Cutter to fire off more Wyvern's Fire. Paired with Redirection and Intrepid Heart, it can help with survivability while maintaining the buff. Heaven-Sent eliminates the need for sharpening and also reloads all shells with Switch Skill Swap. It's also a Long Gunlance making it perfect for Hail Cutter and Bullet Barrage. ![]() Amatsu's Gunlance is also a noteworthy addition as it boosts Silkbind damage by around 10%. While useful on their own, having both opens up new options for the Gunlance. Title Update 5 brings a lot of new gifts to the Gunlance with Heaven-Sent and Frenzied Bloodlust. ![]() Since using Reverse Blast toward monsters allows you to reach their back at times, Sneak Attack is also added to boost shelling damage. Hellfire Cloak is included to drop hellfire to topple monsters and deal extra damage. Reverse Blast is key to this build for its iframes and as a quick way to fire off a Burst Fire/Full Burst. Bullet Barrage overcomes Bloodlust's Frenzy fairly quickly, making it a solid choice for the build. Frenzied Bloodlust allows for up to four Wirebugs at once, which lets us use Silkbinds like Reverse Blast and Bullet Barrage as much as possible. Redirection and Intrepid Heart help with maintaining the buff. Heaven-Sent is still a must-have to sharpen without needing to sheathe and to reload quickly. It has lower raw compared to its competition, but its Dragon element can make it stand out when hunting monsters weak to it. It can be used as a general build in Anomaly Investigations thanks to its boosted recovery when under Bloodblight. Primodrial Malzeno's Gunlance, the Silver Sploder, opens up several build options thanks to its 3 Lv 4 Slots and Lv 8 Normal Shelling. However, feel free to add as you please once you get comfortable with your build!
